Physically it is related to the Pituitary and Hypothalamus Glands, located in the ancient brain system, at the top end of the spinal column.
The Pituitarys’ responsibility as the “master gland” is that of a control box for all of the other endocrine glands. It relays information from the Hypothalamus to the other glands.
The Hypothalamus’ responsibility is that of “data collector” from all the peripheral nervous systems.
